Is InspektLABS insurance?
No. We create and store independent evidence of your rental's condition. We are not an insurer and we never pay claims or deposits.
Does this guarantee I'll win a dispute?
No, and we won't pretend otherwise. Good independent evidence strengthens your case, but rental companies, banks and courts make their own decisions.
Do I need to install an app?
No. It all runs in your phone's browser — tap your link and scan.
What does the scan capture?
One continuous guided walkaround video (or photos as a fallback), with timestamps, a tamper-evident file hash, and GPS when you allow it.
What if I deny GPS?
The scan works exactly the same. Your report will state that location wasn't captured. We never invent a location.
What if I have no internet at the rental lot?
You can still record. Your video is saved on your phone and uploads automatically once you have signal.
How long is my evidence stored?
By default for 12 months after purchase. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Use the data request page and we'll erase your media, subject to any active dispute or legal hold.
What happens if the rental company charges me?
Open a dispute pack from your dashboard. We organise your evidence and uploaded documents into one file and draft a response you can edit and send.
Can I use this in any country?
It works wherever you have a phone and signal. Note that what evidence is accepted, and local consumer law, varies by country.
